Passion Fruit

The passion fruit not only tastes delicious, but is also a real treat for the eyes. At least, it is if you see the fruits grow, because even the flowers of the passion fruit look good enough to eat.

The fruits are berries, botanically speaking. Passion fruit has a refreshingly sweet and sour taste and a particularly exotic aroma.

Because of their similarity to the pomegranate, the Spanish conquerors called the passion fruit "granadilla" = small pomegranate.
